In 2006, the Young Foundation initiated dialogue with the Owensboro Museum of Science and History to bring the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego League robotic competition to our community. This seed grant has multiplied many times over as the participation in this program has grown exponentially over the years with many student teams participating in state and even national competitions.
