Marianne Smith Edge is a native Kentuckian, Registered Dietitian, and Founder and Principal, The AgriNutrition Edge, a nutrition, food and ag communications consulting business. She also serves on the Board of Advisors for Curious Plot, a Minneapolis based food and agriculture marketing and public relations firm and is an assistant Adjunct Professor, Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics. Prior to founding The AgriNutrition Edge, Marianne was affiliated with the International Food Information Council (IFIC) in Washington, DC and a previous owner of MSE and Associates, LLC, a nutrition and foodservice consulting services for the food and healthcare industry.
Marianne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from the University of Kentucky where she was a former member of the Board of Trustees and a past president, UK Alumni Association She has a master’s degree in public health-nutrition from Western Kentucky University and earned a certification in Appreciative Inquiry from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.
Marianne is the current Chair, Foundation for Healthy Kentucky Board and has served on the Kentucky
4-H Foundation. She is a co-founder, past president and board member, IMPACT 100 Owensboro. Marianne’s local board involvement has included the Owensboro-Daviess Co Chamber of Commerce, Healthy Horizons Initiatives Steering Committee, Citizens Committee on Higher Education, Owensboro Community College Foundation Board, Wendell Foster Board, Hospice, Owensboro Symphony and Owensboro Daviess County Hospital, Inc. Board.
Marianne is a former president of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a graduate of Leadership Kentucky.
