Jane Miller Haase

Jane Miller Haase, an Owensboro native currently residing in Louisville, KY, is a graduate of Daviess County High School and completed her B.A . in Journalism from the University of Kentucky. After receiving her degree at UK, Jane also studied in the Masters Program in Public Relations at American University as well as the Public Affairs graduate program at Western Kentucky University. Jane’s career has centered in the area of community and public affairs. She was press assistant to U.S. Senator Walter “Dee” Huddleston, community and public affairs director at National-Southwire Aluminum, community affairs liaison for the International Coal Refining Company and a consultant for Wheelabrator-Frye’s garbage to energy division. She also was the Executive Director/President of the Owensboro-Daviess County Chamber of Commerce where she was named Outstanding Business Woman of the Year. She was elected to and served as a board member for the Owensboro Independent School’s Board of Education for 13 years. Jane was on the original development committee for the planned RiverPark Center and served on the boards of many other Owensboro non-profits before retiring to Louisville to be near her
daughter, Kelsey, and family.
